Hello :) My name is Calvin Frank and I live in St. Catharines, Ontario with my wife Heather. I split my time between documenting such a beautiful day between not only two people but two families coming together and exploring the outdoors.
I try my best to make the outdoors a priority in my life. It helps me take away all the noise and focus on the important things in life. Whether it's a local walk, mountain biking, or a backcountry canoe trip, I always come back feeling a little more like myself.
I lost my father to cancer six years ago and if I'm being honest, it is still extremely hard to not have him here every year. I don't have that many quality photos with him later in life but I had a hell of a time with him while he was here :) I got most of my love for the outdoors from him and we spend most weekends in my 20’s out in the woods mountain biking. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
The photo above is while he was going through treatment and had lost all of his hair. I shaved mine off to match him. Although it's hard to relive, I am also flooded with incredible memories with him.
Photos are more important than you may think in this moment.
The photo above is of Doug, soaking in the sunset. He is my mothers dog who I get to babysit often…. If you have pets and were wondering if they could be apart of you engagement photos or even your wedding day… the answer is YES!
